After working almost 40 years of experience improving and transforming businesses across many industries, Finis retired from his role as an IT technical executive.in December 2025. 

​

In his career, he led/completed numerous business and IT transformation projects, assisting clients to transform their IT processes, infrastructure and organizational roles into a more dynamic, flexible model.  He has also worked in advisory roles with several higher education institutions, helping students and faculty to better prepare for and take advantage of challenges.

 

In addition to his primary career focus, Finis has worked tirelessly in the community in leadership and support roles as varied as youth development, wealth empowerment, business development, strategic planning and fundraising.

After graduating valedictorian from high school, he attended Purdue University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a specialty in thermodynamics.

 

His daily guiding philosophy – “Every day, strive to make a better mistake.  Because if you don’t make mistakes, you aren’t trying hard enough” – embodies his lifelong commitment to learning, improvement and progress, personally and to those around him.

Finis now spends his time laughing, spending time with loved ones, pursuing business ventures and working in the community -- sharing what he has learned with others.
